RANGAMATI TRIP
Rangamati– the most picturesque place of Bangladesh. It’s rare scenic beauty and unspoiled tribal life is just 77 km from Chittagong. It will be interesting to cruise on emerald blue water of Kaptai

Tracts. The town is located at 22°37’60N 92°12’0E and has an altitude of 14 metres (49 feet).
It’s Rangamati is the Administrative Headquarter of Rangamati Hill District in the Chittagong Hill a travel destination of Bangladesh that is known as “ LakeCity ”.
Rangamati is a wonderful repository of scenic splendours with flora and fauna of varied descriptions. The township is located on the western bank of the Kaptai lake. Rangamati is a favourite holiday destination because of its beautiful landscape, scenic beauty, lake, colourful tribes(Chakma, Marma)etc,
Its flora and fauna, tribal museum, hanging bridge, homespun textile products, ivory jewellery and the tribal men and women who fashion them. For tourists, the attractions of Rangamati are numerous. Tribal life, fishing, speed boat cruising, hiking, bathing or merely enjoying nature as it is.
Hanging Bridge : Hanging Bridge ( Jhulonto Bridge in Bengali) is the landmark icon of Rangamati. It’s a popular tourist spot and a must go destination.
Kaptai Lake :KaptaiLake is a wonderful spot for boating and cruising. Parjatan and private tour operators offer a number of cruises by mechanical boats. One can go to various scenic spots in Shuvalong, Barkal, Longadu, Mainimukh and other areas by boat from Rangamati.
Tribal Museum : The only TribalCulturalMuseum in the Chittagong Hill Tracts region was established at Rangamati town in 1978 and run by the Tribal Cultural Institute. It preserves valuable objects and articles of different tribes depicting their socio-economic, cultural and historical tradition. These include typical tribal dresses, ornaments, arms and ammunitions, coins, statues made of wood, bronze and other metals, musicalinstruments, ivory products, handicrafts, paintings on tribal life etc.

BANDARBAN TREKKING TOUR
Murang Village, Bandarban
The hill tracts are comprised of three districts: Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari. They are primarily populated by people from different indigenous groups. Most of the hill tracts is hilly. Even though the heights of these hills are not much, it is very different from the rest of the flat country.
About half of the ethnic group population are Chakma, and most of the remainder are Marma and Tipera. Among the ten much smaller groups (Murung, Tengchangya, Khumi, Lushai, Pankhu, Bhom, Mogh, Kuki and Reang), the Murung stand out as being the most ancient inhabitants of this area. Each of these tribes have very distinctive rites, rituals and dress; the Chakma woman, for example, all wear indigo and red-striped Sarongs. They have also own language and cultural pattern.
Banderban is the roof of Bangladesh located at Chittagong hill tracts where living verities of ethnic people who are different rest of the flat areas. Different of Tribes living in the Bandarban district. Each tribe has its distinctive rites, rituals and dress. Each tribe also has its own language and cultural pattern. A lot to see in Bandarban offer you to visit Tribal people life style, Shaila propat, Bogha lake, water fall, King palace, Meghla, Tribal weaving, Buddhist Stupa,Museum,Bhum tribal village, Chimbuk and The three highest peak of Bangladesh- Tahjin dong (4632 ft) , keokradong and maudak mual is located in Bandarban. Its best place for unique experience to one tribal village to another tribal village through magical landscape.
HOW TO GET THERE
There are several public bus companies operating the service directly between Dhaka and Bandarban. But most of these companies have non air conditioned bus. The other options to go to Bandarban includes taking a train to Chittagong or fly to Chittagong or take an air conditioned bus to Chittagong and from there transfer to Bandarban. It is around 2-3 hours drive from Chittagong to Bandarban.
NECESSARY PERMISSION
All foreign nationals travelling to Bandarban are required to obtain a official permission prior to entering the Bandarban town. This permission is obtained from the District Commissioner’s office at Bandarban. We, PathFriend Tour Operator take care of the necessary paper work for the foreign guests staying at Bandarban for a charge of BDT 500/person for their permission.
IMPORTANT FACTS
All the tourists travelling to the Bandarban are requested to respect the local tradition and social rules at all time. They are also requested to take permission before taking any photographs of the local indigenous people.
The entire hill tracts region is prone to malaria and all the guests are strongly advised to wear full sleeve clothes and to use insect repellent lotion especially during the evening and early morning. During the monsoon season leaches are commonly seen in the area and the guests are advised to wear proper footwear and to use socks to help avoid their bite.

Cox’s Bazar lies
approximately 150 kilometers south of Chittagong. The beach, with a gentle
slope to the Bay of Bengal, stretches over a length of nearly 120 kilometers
and is claimed to be the longest continuous natural beach in the world. Even
without the silvery sands, surfing waves and rare conch shells, Cox’s Bazar
also offers variety of indigenous groups, numerous Buddhist temples and a
bustling early morning fish market.

A day trip to
Moheshkhali or Sonadia, the deltaic islands nestled among the gentles waves of
Bay of Bengal also can be of interest. Teknaf, which is the southernmost tip of
mainland Bangladesh and from there one can easily go to the only coral island
of Bangladesh, the Saint Martin.
Few kilometers east of
Sundarbans, is the small town Kuakata which is also very popular among the
Bangladeshi tourists for the beautiful beach over there.
If you are visiting
Bangladesh for a short time and want to relax close to the sea and enjoy the
sun, then Cox’s Bazar and the islands close by is a great escape for you.
HOW TO GET THERE
Cox’s Bazar town has a
domestic airport and at the moment regular flights between Dhaka and Cox’s
Bazar is available. Good quality air conditioned public bus service is also
available between Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka. It is recommended to reserve a vehicle
if you are to travel to Saint Martin’s island from Cox’s Bazar as the bus
service between these two places are not very good.
